Hi all,

As promised, more updates for Ten Thousand Coin! Good progress has been made in the past month, as there has been more time for me to work on developing TTC compared to the previous months. The latest build version as of writing this post is v0.3.2.

Be sure to check out the previous post on the new Trading System if you haven't done so!

UI Updates

The UI of TTC has been further polished up. Expect more incremental improvements in the future as well!

Reputation System

Barter successful

Your reputation as a merchant crew is vital to becoming a successful merchant. You possess a reputation with each settlement independently.

  • Increasing reputation - each successful barter increases reputation with that settlement, based on the value of goods traded.
  • Losing reputation - An unsuccessful barter results in a drop of reputation. Each unsuccessful trade attempt will drop the trader's patience, and if their patience is depleted, the barter will be unsuccessful.
  • Unlocking more goods to trade - a higher reputation will unlock more valuable goods to trade for in that settlement, and possibly even

Barter unsuccessful

World Map - Grand Emperion

The land in which TTC is set in has been renamed: is it now called Grand Emperion, known as the land of eternal wealth.

An update to the world map has been made:

  • World map now covers the whole screen
  • Each settlement displays much more information, such as the supplies they need as well as your reputation with the settlement, and a thumbnail of the settlement.

Merchant Advancement System

Advancement is a way to improve your merchant crew's overall power and skills to better combat the challenges that await in Grand Emperion.

Advancement Points
Similar to an skill point system, Advancement Points can be acquired by meeting milestones in wealth accumulation. Once a milestone is reached, you will be granted an Advancement Point.

Traits
As the crew gain experience as merchants, they start to develop traits. The player can spend an Advancement Point on their chosen trait in the Advancement screen, giving the player a boost to their overall crew capabilities. This is a system is inspired by the perk system from the Fallout franchise.

As always, stay tuned for more news and updates for TTC!
