Custom Resolution / Settings

A much needed boot-up settings screen has been implemented, now allowing the player to select their desired screen resolution and full screen / windowed mode for the game.

Settings will be saved after the first time and the game will automatically boot up using these settings afterwards (unless changed by the player in the main menu).



Patron System

First half of the new progression system, replacing the older traits system (though much of the design was salvageable) for a better experience. Patrons are individuals or organisations with power that have taken interest in your merchant crew, granting you their special upgrades if you choose to work with them.

As you build up more wealth and meet milestones, more patrons will start to take an interest in your crew.



New Intro Scene

A new intro scene has been added to improve narrative and context. Find out what it is about in-game!



Cursor and NPC UI


New cursor art has been added for various mouse-over situations.


New NPC UI art has also been added when mousing over a building. The new shows a preview of which NPC resides inside the building.

A note on alpha status

The pre-alpha phase of TTC has been extended a little further to finalise changes in features for play-testing. From v0.5.0 onwards, TTC will begin alpha phase, development will also proceed much faster than it has during pre-alpha.
